A forex CRM is customer relationship management software built specifically for brokerages. It is where your sales and retention teams work, where compliance tracks KYC, and where management sees which marketing spend turns into deposits.
What a forex CRM does
At its core, a forex CRM connects three things that generic CRMs keep apart: people (leads and clients), money (deposits, withdrawals and trading activity) and marketing (where each client came from). When these live in the same record, every team works from the same picture.
Why a generic CRM falls short
General-purpose CRMs are designed for pipelines that end with a signed deal. A brokerage relationship starts at the first deposit and continues for as long as the client trades. Generic tools usually lack:
- A live connection to the trading platform and client portal
- Deposit, FTD and withdrawal tracking
- KYC document status and compliance workflows
- Separate sales (conversion) and retention desk structures
- IB and affiliate attribution
Features to look for
Lead distribution
Leads should be routed automatically by country, language, campaign or agent capacity. Speed matters: the faster a lead is called, the more likely it is to convert.
Sales and retention desks
Conversion and retention are different jobs. Look for separate desks, targets and hand-over rules when a client makes their first deposit.
FTD and deposit tracking
Every deposit should appear on the client record in real time and roll up into agent, desk and campaign reports.
KYC and compliance
Document status, approvals and notes on the client card, with an audit trail of who changed what.
Integrations
Your CRM should connect to your trading platform, client portal, payment providers, KYC provider and VoIP telephony. A lead API is essential for landing pages and affiliates.
Roles and data security
Lead data is valuable. Granular permissions and restricted exports protect it from misuse.
Reporting
Conversion rates, cost per FTD and desk performance should be available without exporting to spreadsheets.
Questions to ask a CRM provider
- Does the CRM connect to my trading platform, and how quickly do deposits appear?
- Can you migrate my existing leads and history?
- How are custom features requested, priced and delivered?
- Who handles support, and how fast do they respond?
- Can I run multiple brands from one installation?
